Counselling and Psychotherapy
I am a qualified counsellor and psychotherapist, practising in Beckenham and an accredited member with the BACP. My approach is integrative, which means that I draw from various theoretical models to provide therapy which is tailored made to suit your needs.
I can support you through any personal or professional issues and help you explore any mistaken thought processes which may have been ingrained and left unchallenged for some years.
How counselling can help:
When consumed by stress, anxiety or depression, we often feel a sense of hopelessness. Counselling can help you regain a sense of clarity and autonomy, which may help you to get the best out of your life. Nobody knows you better than you know yourself but sometimes the stresses of everyday life and relationships can consume us, make us feel anxious and its hard to get a sense of who we are and what we want in life. I can offer the time and space that you need to explore what is troubling you and examine what it is that you really want out of your life or the situation you are in
To focus all your conscious thoughts on negative things, you will give your subconscious the opportunity to deliver all those thoughts and feelings associated with that type of thinking. Unfortunately, those feelings then become a reality in our everyday lives resulting in depression, anxiety and stress.
The one power and freedom we all actually have under any circumstances is to control our own thoughts. We have control and choice in how we wish to respond to those thoughts.
